Jennifer Carroll MacNeill is Ireland’s Fine Gael TD for Dún Laoghaire and Minister for Health

  • Appointed Minister for Health by the Taoiseach in January 2025. Previosuly having served as Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence and Minister of State at the Department of Finance with special responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance.

  • Before entering politics, Minister Carroll MacNeill qualified as both a Solicitor and Barrister. She also holds a PhD in Public Policy.

  • Earlier in her career Minister Carroll MacNeill worked as a lawyer in private practice and the public service, as Legal Adviser in the Office of the Leader of Fine Gael and as a Special Adviser across several Government Departments.
