Minister Carroll MacNeill Joins LGBT Ireland Pride Breakfast 2026

Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill was delighted to attend LGBT Ireland's Pride Breakfast on 27 June 2026, joining community leaders, advocates, supporters and guests in celebrating Pride, inclusion and equality.
The annual Pride Breakfast is a significant event in Ireland's Pride calendar, bringing together people from across society to celebrate the progress achieved in advancing LGBTQ+ rights while recognising the ongoing work needed to ensure every person feels respected, valued and included.
Speaking after the event, Minister Carroll MacNeill highlighted the importance of Pride as both a celebration and an opportunity to reaffirm Ireland's commitment to equality.
"Pride is a celebration of diversity, inclusion and the freedom to be yourself. It was a privilege to join LGBT Ireland's Pride Breakfast and to meet so many people who are working tirelessly to build a more inclusive and supportive society."
The Minister praised LGBT Ireland for its continued work in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and families across the country through advocacy, information services and community support.
Throughout the morning, attendees heard from speakers reflecting on the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community, the challenges that remain, and the importance of creating environments where everyone can thrive.
Minister Carroll MacNeill also acknowledged the contribution of volunteers, activists and allies who have helped drive positive change in Ireland over many years.
"The progress we have made as a country is the result of countless individuals who have stood up for equality, dignity and respect. Their efforts have made Ireland a more welcoming place for everyone."
As Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill reaffirmed her commitment to supporting healthcare services that are accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of all members of society.
The Pride Breakfast provided a valuable opportunity to engage with community organisations, hear directly from those working on the front line of support services, and celebrate the diversity that strengthens communities across Ireland.
