Shankill and Ballybrack Community First Responders Celebrating 10 Years Serving the Community

On the 25th August 2026 the Shankill and Ballybrack Community First Responders celebrated their 10th anniversary. This was a fitting occasion to honour a decade of dedication, commitment and lifesaving service to the local community. Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD was delighted to attend the anniversary event and to recognise the extraordinary contribution made by volunteers who have given their time and expertise to support people in their moments of greatest need. Shankill and Ballybrack CFR along with attending over 1100 emergency calls over the past 10 years, has also trained thousands of people in life saving CPR and installed dozens of Community AED’s. Minister Carroll MacNeill TD was joined at the celebration by local TD’s and councillors alongside members of the National Ambulance Service, An Garda Síochána and other local CFR groups.
