Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD Opens New Special Classroom at St Laurence College

Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD was delighted to visit St Laurence College on Friday, 2 October, to officially open the school's new special classroom, marking an important investment in inclusive education and support for students with additional needs.

The new classroom is currently supporting four students, providing them with a welcoming, supportive and tailored learning environment, helping them to reach their full potential while participating fully in school life. The facility reflects the commitment of the school community to ensuring that every student has access to the resources and supports they need to succeed.

Speaking at the opening, Minister Carroll MacNeill congratulated the school leadership, staff, parents and students on the achievement, recognising the dedication and collaboration required to bring the project to fruition.

The Minister also took the opportunity to meet with students and staff, hearing first-hand about the positive impact the new facility will have on learning, wellbeing and inclusion within the school.
